PROSPECTS FOR USING FREE SOFTWARE IN EDUCATION
Abstract
Education development, primarily related to information communication technologies, requires the development of new forms and methods of education based on modern information technologies. The period and indicator when quantity should turn into quality about free software is the development of the concept of introduction of free software into the educational activities of universities. It defines the goals, measures, principles, role and value of free software in the information process and the results of its implementation.
